2018 marked the inaugural Big Design Trade, the trade version of the Big Design Market. As a trade event, The Big Design Trade welcomed exhibitors both locally and internationally, with the same curatorial focus on quality and originality that the retail event has become known for.
The main branding for the event borrowed heavily from The Big Design Market brand, to leverage its recognition and brand equity. The visual identity however took on a unique, slightly more sophisticated look that centred around still life photography that showcased some of the show's designs. A versatile material would be chosen each year, which becomes the central theme of the campaign. Felt was chosen this year, as a raw material that could extend to environmental design.
