Publication
The original edition of The Story of Australia was published in 1984 with mostly black and white pages. The 2021 edition is a full-colour edition, with a 2021 update to the content. Each chapter was assigned a colour scheme of three colours, which created cohesion across text, illustration and original panoramic paintings by Ron Brooks which could only be sourced as monochrome scans.
The new edition is an eclectic, inclusive and respectful reimagination of the original, that will hopefully inspire a new generation of young readers.
